Hi there! My name is Carol, and I enjoy watching the sun rise and set, preferably over water and whilst holidaying on a cruise...

Thanks for telling us the origin of this famous painting. I have been familiar with it most of my life as it was the original emblem of HMV company. Oh how me need to hear God’s voice. However, if we hear a voice or have a thought that is contrary to God’s written word, it cannot be from God as he does not contradict himself.

You are so right JH – God does not contradict Himself. I pray that we will get to know Him through His Word, so that we are able to recognise anything that is contrary to it.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. God bless you.

I literally had a meltdown at work this week. I actually blame myself. The wrek before I was tuned in….be anxious gor nothing, all will be well. I stopped hearing when the extreme pressure of work got to me. I collapsed in tears not being able to hear, seek or find comfort in him. Today as I was preparing my food a voice inside guided me to put on some gospel music. The words you are the strength of my life ….I lift my hands in total praise to you..rang out in my home. I fell to my knees crying and prsising God…..during these stressful & unprecedented times I pray that when i do feel stressed out I remember to fall to my knees in total praise knowing that the still small voice leads me , guides me and gives me strength. I honour my God with total praise ….Hallelujah

The enemy comes only to steal, kill and destroy and he’ll use whatever he can to achieve that. He tried to steal your peace, but as the song you referenced says ‘Your peace You give me in time of the storm…’ Our God is the giver of peace. Thank God for His still, small voice, and that you were able to recognise it.

In a time such as now it is even more important that we know the voice of Him who is able to keep us from falling.

Amen P – it’s imperative now more than ever, as the enemy of our soul is upping the ante in order to achieve his objective to divert us from hearing the true Word of God.
