A belated Christmas thought: I was drawn to your ‘THIS WAY’ sign. God often gives signs to his people: to the parents of John the Baptist; to Mary and Joseph; the shepherds, wise men, and through Jesus himself.
We need to look out for God’s signs to ensure we are going in the right direction. If not, we may go in the wrong direction as when we miss road signs and even footpath signs!
Interesting! Yes, John the Baptist was a humble man, only wanting what was best, serving others, sharing the good news of the coming Jesus.
To come as he did with a humble heart and a word of encouragement, was all that was required of him. God new his heart and that is what he sees.
Sharing, encouraging, showing kindness, and supporting, is the same way that God has prepared for us. His plans to bring the good news about Jesus, is what he has planned for our lives.
Thank you for another thought provoking piece. I pray that my life and actions positively directs others to knowing and living for the one true and living God.

You are so right JH. I pray that we will be vigilant to observe even the subtlest of signs, and not wander off the path…

Indeed; he was singularly focused on his mission and accepted that his purpose was to point others to Christ.
Oh to be that steadfast and single minded!

Amen; may that be the desire of all of us who name the name of Christ.
