As a child growing up we used to sing ‘This little light of mine-l’m going to let it shine’. Many years later l still have the light and continue to pray and work on expanding it, so that it is no longer ‘little’ but radiates strongly far and wide.
‘Light in the darkness, my God that is who you are.’ The song writer had thought carefully when he wrote the words to this song.
We must be that light in the darkness of the world around us. To be a shining light in someone’s day when the darkness closes in. Appearances do matter, what we carry on our facial expression is powerful among others. Light in their darkness brings comfort and can save a person from making the wrong decision. Amen!
You speak well to remind us that ‘what we carry on our facial expression is powerful’. That in itself may be sufficient to ‘shine light in someone’s day when the darkness closes in.’
Thank you for taking the time to read and leave a comment. May God’s light continue to shine in you.
