Excellent Carol, especially in these times highlighting our striving for goals and riches,
what truly is it we are striving for, and on what basis are we striving? thanks for reminding us
that if we, through faith, invest in Jesus – we already have eternal riches
“of greater worth than gold!”
Every blessing

Thankyou Carol, your Thought for the Day always makes me ponder…
Jesus is indeed the greatest treasure and there is always more to be revealed and found in Him and shared.(Like Peter saying, ‘ Silver and gold have I none, but what I have I give you- in the name of Jesus Christ get up and walk’.)
I didn’t know the phrase ‘Stake a claim’ was actually derived from a physical stake in the ground. This took me to Isaiah 54 and the wonderful promises there for Zion and each of us, that we can enlarge our tent and strengthen our stakes because God is our faithful husband who transforms our lives and blesses us richly. Your word is taking me on my own treasure trail, Thankyou!
So glad that you are on your own treasure trail Edith! Thank you for referencing Isaiah 54. I have just read it; it’s interesting that I hadn’t previously noticed the urging to ‘lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes’, with the explanation given ‘for you shall expand to the right and to the left’. How awesome, and what a great encouragement to start this New Year!
Thank you for your encouraging comment – iron sharpens iron!

Praying that our faith will arise and we will make the choice to ‘invest in Jesus’ as you advise. Thanks for your comment Mighty Man Of Valor (MMOV).
